Yet Another Milestone
It's been a while, but we're still hanging in here! I'm not even sure how many people still read this, but I thought I was long over due for an update!!!
I can hardly believe it was two years ago today, I first saw a mischieveous-looking little girl's picture, never dreaming of how I would come to see her as my own daughter and endure what we have in hopes that one day she will be ours. Someday, I'll have to write about all the growth that has taken place in our lives since that day (I'm just too tired tonight!). As hard as it's been, I think our family is stronger for this journey. God has met us in our helplessness in ways I probably can't even explain, and there is peace. I still can't shake the feeling that although it may take a while longer, that someday, somehow, we will bring Myli home to be our daughter. We've had a lot of ups and downs over the past 2 years, but the last several months have been fairly quiet. We really haven't had a lot of hope to travel and not much has changed. Recently, though, there have been some changes to our situation, but still no idea of when we will travel. It now appears that we will have to make 2 trips after all.
The hardest thing lately has been knowing how much the kids want Myli to come home. Legoboy and Woogie have both been asked separately on a few occassions the question, "If you could have just one gift for Christmas, what would it be?" Both of them replied, without the slightest hesitation, "Myli." Well, of course, they used her REAL name. LOL! I'm so glad they want her so much, and their hearts are so tender, but it was hard to know that I couldn't give them the one thing they really want more than anything - the one thing I want more than anything... But we still believe that God is in control of all of this, and His timing is perfect.
To anyone reading this, I wish you a wonderful and meaningful Christmas!

Happy Holidays to your family from ours, Jen!
TWO Years - it's a LONG time to wait. I keep hoping & praying that the UZ officials will find a way to speed you along your journey and get your adoption expedited.
Bringing your daughter home would indeed be a fabulous Christmas gift for all of you. Let's hope that it happens very early in the New Year.
