Let It Snow!

Just when I thought that we have had our share of heavy snow this winter, and surely spring is around the corner...

This is when you could still SEE the road!

  • Those pictures are great, looks like someone should be making Christmas card photos. It's pretty much the same here except we have the ice and small animal footprints in the snow.

  • Wow, you guys have a lot of snow!We were running around in short leaves today. It is amazing, the difference of 1500 miles.

  • Dani - Thanks! I was thinking that last one might make a good card this year.
Ute - That sounds really good about right now! It continued to snow all of yesterday too. It's beautiful, but I'm getting anxious to have more freedom to go and come as we please, and without all the winter gear! There's so much snow on the ground, I'm planning to send the kids out with bread pans when they get home from school to make bricks to build a fort.

  • I am so ready to be done with the snow, too. I think we are suppose to get a couple more inches tonight. WAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

  • I had no clue, that you guys get soooooo much snow. We have snow on top of the mountains, because they are 8000ft and higher, but at our level 5000 ft, we have the best weather.

I loved the winter forest at home in Germany. It was so romantic and when you walked thru it, the noise of snow when you walk, is one of the best noises at all - ah, getting homesick (a bit)

  • That sounds lovely about Germany, Ute! I hope you get to visit in the near future.

We do tend to get a lot of snow in the winter, but I'm starting to wonder if this might be some kind of record, at least for the month - it's snowing again today! A lot has accumulated in a rather short period of time without melting in between. Last year, though, I remember Valentine's Day, we had to have gotten about 18-24 inches in one night. We had to take Meatball for surgery early that morning. Let me just say that it was quite an experience!

  • Well, I looked it up. I guess we are probably going to break 2 weather records today for snow and precipitation for the month of Feb. The article wondered if it was really fair since it is Leap Day. Hadn't thought of that!
